Reflex is predicting a ‘huge shift’ after its control systems division grew 44-fold in two years.
Roland Dreesden, Reflex’s managing director said: ‘In the last two years there are two specific areas of our business that have experienced astronomical growth. These are Digital Signage, which has grown 36 fold and Control Systems, which has grown 44 fold.’
‘As a company, we have not specifically focussed on growing these areas; it has been a more organic development. I believe they are a reflection of the growing knowledge and sophistication of the end user.’
He added that, whilst the digital signage growth is inline with the market, the control systems growth is harder to accont for.
‘On analysis, a lot of this growth is driven by our higher education clients. In this increasingly competitive market place, technology is vital to attract students, so our sales have become more solution based where the demand for seamless integration and ease of use for lecturers has become an essential requirement.’
Other factors that Reflex believes have affected the growth include the standardisation of IR coding and a growing awareness of environmental issues, with a requirement to easily turn off all equipment in a room.
