Systems integrator IVC Media has appointed Andrew Smith as head of a new IP division, as part of the company’s increasing focus on delivering converged systems over IP. John Smith has also joined the company’s board of directors.

On the other hand, it may mean large scale multi-capability installations with fast internet access, multi-channel HD TV capabilities, video on demand, telephony, fire detection, secure door entry systems, CCTV, and digital signage all run over a point-to-multipoint, fibre networks, which again has an impact on the ROI.’
John Smith has a background in IT, telecoms, av broadcast and print, Prior to joining IVC Media, Smith held senior roles at Sony, OKI Systems and Logica, where he was principal consultant working on customer intelligence management projects with global telecoms clients.
As part of the new management structure at IVC, a new IP division has also been created, headed up by Andrew Smith. Before joining the company, Andrew Smith worked in international account sales at logistics company UPS and was been involved in the development of two VOIP companies.
