STG CEO resigns

The chairman of Staging Connections Group Limited (STG), John Churchill has announced that Michael Gardner has resigned as CEO of the group and that COO Ben Ashton will assume the role of acting CEO until a permanent appointment is made.
In support of the appointment of Ashton as acting CEO, Mr Churchill said:
‘Ben is very well credentialed to step into the acting CEO role given his experience as COO and leader of the largest operating business unit in the group. The board is very confident that he will provide great leadership and stability to the group at this time.’
Ashton said that he was looking forward to the new challenges that he would experience in this role. He said that his immediate focus was on ensuring a smooth transition for the business, its people and all stakeholders.
STG will release its FY08 results on 29 August 2008.
