Sony has launched the second installment of high-end projectors in its VPL-D100 range. Designed specifically to cater for the SMB and corporate markets, the VPL-DW125, VPL- DX145, VPL-DX125 and VPL-DW120 complement Sony’s existing range launched in July, alongside its VPL-E200 series.
Each projector encompasses Sony’s eco features, including an auto lamp dimming function, Auto Brightness Adjustment Function, eco mode and a new fine-tuned cooling system to reduce clouding of the bulb, which has extended the lamp life to approximately 7,000 hours, depending on the lamp mode selected.
The projectors come standard with 1X RGB, 1X HDMI and Video, a 12-bit 3D digital gamma correction for images, meaning less noise and smoother gradation.
The VPL – DW125, VPL – DX145, VPL – DX125 models offer both LAN and Wireless capabilities. LAN allows for Network Presentation and control and a Wireless dongle comes as standard. These projectors also include a USB Display to allow content via USB, and a USB Viewer, enabling images via a USB memory device (PC Less images).
Sony has also announced two more projectors in its education-specific VPL-E200 series. These are the VPL-EW275 and VPL-EW245, which include a 16W high-wattage speaker, 2xRGB, HDMI, S-Video, RS-232C, RJ-45, microphone input and optional wireless capabilities.
The VPL-EW275, VPL-EW245, VPL-DW125, VPL- DX145, VPL-DX125 and VPL-DW120 will all be available from November 2012.
