WolfVision sees potential for professional visualiser applications in 3D, in a range of applications such as science and education, product design and engineering, medicine and telemedicine, and videoconferencing/telepresence.

The prototype 3D visualiser is equipped with two lenses which generate images which are converted to 3D format in realtime using the on-board stereoscopic mixer.

12X optical zoom capability ensures that items of all sizes can  be picked up, and the synchronised lightfield which is projected onto the working surface, means its easy to find correct positioning for display materials.

3D images are output via HDMI 1.4a in the following formats:

  • 1080p60 side by side/line alternative/page flip
  • 1080p24
  • 1080p30 frame packing/top-bottom

Images can be viewed without glasses on suitable display screens.

Standard 2D images in 1080p60 format can also be output if required.

There is no release date as yet, but we were told by a representative at ISE 2012 to expect a model ‘this year’.
