Vidioh launches thin LCD screen technology to create direct marketing video brochures
Paul Milligan, February 8, 2012
UK-based Vidioh has launched thin LCD screen technology for use in direct marketing which can embed a video screen in a variety of card or paper sizes.
The Vidioh screens can be built into a range of traditional marketing media, including brochures, direct mail pieces, point of sale and invitations.
Vidioh released its prototype card in November 2011, and has now launched a variety of cards each with an embedded video screen.
Vidioh also has its own in-house video production studios to create content on behalf of companies and the capability to design and brand the video brochures. Alternatively, companies can provide existing artwork and video content to be incorporated into their bespoke direct mail.
Vidioh, which is available as a standard A5 size, has been used by businesses, including Xerox, Verisign, Hitachi Data Systems and recently the QE2.
Uses of the card so far vary from campaigns to promote specific products and services to event invitations, corporate brochures and company reports. But it is with direct mail that Vidioh is seeing the greatest initial interest.
“Vidioh exploits the power of the moving image with the precision of direct mail,” said Russell Lawley Gibbs, director at Vidioh, “so you can deliver highly impactful marketing campaigns that get your message in front of key customers in a way that is powerful and easy to assimilate. The LCD screens are primed to auto start when opened in order to instantly deliver your message”.
The product is being aimed at the B2B marketplace.
Vidioh is available direct from Enigma Marketing Services.

Are these available in the United States? I am in need of 7000 screens for a marketing project I am putting together.
Not sure Jon. My deputy who wrote the piece is at the Prolight+Sound show in Frankfurt at the moment. Will flag when he gets back.
