The PT-TW231R model is also equipped with a feedback camera for interactive functionality on various projected surfaces.

The short throw distance required for setup and the interactive feature together make the PT-TW230 Series suitable for use in  classrooms, or conducting collaborative meetings and presentations.

The TW Series is designed with a short focal lens that allows the device to project a 1.3 m wide image from a mere 65 cm (2.13ft) away from the display surface.  The projector has a built-in interactive function, available on the PT-TW231R model, which allows the user to interact with the projected image on multiple surfaces without the need of a specialised board.

A pen and a pointer containing infrared sensors are included with the PT-TW231R that sends the signal back to the camera module on the projector so that the users can write text, graphics or lines on the projected images.

The TW230 Series comes equipped with a 10 Watt audio and a HDMI digital input terminal.  The startup screen can be customised using the Logo Transfer software from the Panasonic website to customize the projector and for theft prevention.

The specification (tentative at the moment) of PT-TW231R/PT-TW230 is both models will be 2,500 lumens, 1280 x 800 resolution, with 16:10 aspect ratio and a contrast ratio of 500:1.

The TW230 Series will be available from March 2012.
