Barco selected for 3,000-screen Mexican digital cinema deployment

Cinepolis, the largest cinema chain in Latin America and the fourth largest in the world, will deploy Barco projectors exclusively for the conversion of its remaining film-based auditoriums, as well as equipping its new theatre sites.
Cinepolis operates in Mexico, Latin America, India and the United States. It will ultimately install 3,000 Barco cinema projectors.
“We are endeavouring to become a 100 per cent digital cinema chain,” said Adrian Mijares Elizondo, director of purchasing and supply chain.
“We look forward to taking advantage of new innovations like 3D audio, large-screen cinema, and ultimately laser illuminated projection, for an immersive entertainment experience.”
