Marking the 250th episode of The Gadget Show, North One Television Ltd set out to break the World Record for the largest projection of a live video game; the existing record stood at a huge 1,048 sq m.
The system is being specifically aimed at resellers, who have put off by the high cost of traditional telepresence systems.
“VidyoPanorama has three key advantages,” says Ian Vickerage, MD of Imago Group, distributor of Vidyo products in the UK, Benelux and China. “It is highly affordable, and the price is flexible so it will suit a much wider audience; like all Vidyo products it is not bandwidth hungry and doesn’t require expensive monthly service charges; it is also multi-point, so it delivers an extremely high quality video experience – initially for up to nine users, but before long for up to 20. These factors will be appealing to resellers, who have been waiting for the cost of entry into this market to come down.”

VidyoPanorama enables up to nine screens delivering 1080p at 60 fps in its first release and, in the future, will enable up to 20 screens delivering 1080p @ 60fps, providing customisation of video layout for both participant and application sharing. The system consists of an application that controls the decoding of video across multiple screens, an executive tablet, an off-the-shelf HD camera and audio system.
VidyoPanorama includes a degree of flexibility so customers can create a telepresence room of any size or shape using multiple screen configurations, furniture selection, branding, lighting, equipment concealment, power & cooling and ventilation.
VidyoPanorama can deliver HD video starting at 500 Kbps per screen.
