Retail group American Eagle Outfitters has installed Barco LED and LCD products for their flagship store in New York City’s Times Square.
The exterior display consists of nearly 1,500 LED panels, almost 15,000 square feet in size, including a 25-storey LED tower.
Barco was brought onto the project by Baltimore-based design company Barnycz Group. To create the display, Barco engineers wrapped the building’s exterior facade with 1,469 Barco TF-20 LED panels, on 12 distinct geometric surfaces, for a total pixel count nearing 3.5 million. The ceiling of the building’s outdoor foyer comprises 1,665 Barco OLite 612 modules. Immediately inside the store is a bank of 21 Barco NSL-46 LCD monitors, arranged in a 7×3 array.
Dual Barco DX-700 LED digitisers are used to process multi-format video.
