Mount Sinai Hospital in Toronto is using HaiVision’s Share-HD network video recorder within the Sydney and Florence Cooper Family Education Centre as an educational tool for medical students and hospital staff.
Share-HD enables capture, management and playback of video from practice sessions, so supervisors can observe training remotely and later, review and analyse recorded video with students. Controlled via its web interface or remotely through third-party control systems, Share-HD captures multiple streams synchronously and can replay these multi-stream sessions to performance decoders, set-top boxes, or soft players throughout the facility.
The HaiVision system enables supervisors to watch student practice sessions across six rooms from a single location rather than move from room to room, and it also provides review functionality that simplifies analysis and student instruction.
