Custom audio install in boat nightclub

Helsinki-based audio dealer Soundata supplied the equipment, which includes d&b’s E-Series loudspeakers. Because of the unique requirements of the maritime environment (electricity is not constant, but varies according to load, and welding is only allowed under special conditions) Viking conducted its own installation work.

The system in the disco had been used for eight hours a day, 365 days a year, for the past 10 years so it was in need of a change.

Besides the physical challenges, the disco environment also had acoustical problems due to sheet metal roofing, glass and metal surfaces. Cinderella’s nightclub had similar challenges to be met due to its three-storey layout.
