The PDSV 2000 media player from Nexcom is being aimed at in-vehicle signage use on public transport vehicles including trains, buses and boats.
The PDSV 2000 hardware platform has an integrated power ignition function enabling it to be powered directly from a vehicle’s battery. The PDSV 2000 has an integrated GPS function and connectivity via Wi-Fi, 3.5G and Bluetooth. The platform can support dual independent display with VGA and DVI-D outputs.
The preloaded digital signage software enables users to lay out, schedule, preview and play presentations. The software can support multi-zone positioning, scrolling text, flash and play video file formats including MPEG1/2, MPEG4, AVI, MOV, WMV. Multimedia presentations can be remotely uploaded/managed via WLAN or 3.5G network over the internet. Used with the platform’s GPS module, content can be scheduled to play at an exact location, enabling advertisers to target specific messages.
