Minicom has also expanded its Audio Video Display Systems (AVDS) product line with the addition of the AVDS Remote Long. It is for applications requiring point-to-multi point distribution of audio and video over longer distances up to 250m from the player to display devices.

Minicom is also to partner with Zero Creative to distribute 3D video over networks. Tests have taken place to combine Minicom’s DS Vision HDMI product with Zero Creative’s autostereoscopic 3D displays. By using the DS Vision the 3D signal can be distributed up to 200 meters using standard Cat5 cable.
