Coffee Nation deploys M2M

The deal will see the company’s M2M wireless technology fitted to 800 self-service coffee units nationwide.

Amscreen M2M, an operating division within Amscreen, developed a technology that allows machines to share data via mobile networks and the internet. The system will enable Coffee Nation to monitor its machines, which are installed in office, travel and retail spaces.

The mWeave telemetry system will look at both stock and cleaning levels of the machines as well as sales data so that retailers can be invoiced accurately. The data will be fed back to Coffee Nation’s central management system, enabling the company to quickly make decisions regarding maintenance, inventory and systems management.
