The Children’s Hospice South West (CHSW), which delivers respite, end of life and bereavement care to children and their families, has installed LifeSize videoconferencing to enable remote collaboration between carers.
CHSW has 160 members of staff and two hospices, providing care for up to 400 children. The investment has been made to cut down on senior management travel.
CHSW installed LifeSize Express and Team MP systems at each facility, and they have been used to conduct weekly and monthly departmental meetings. This has also enabled staff to devote a larger portion of their day to caring for the families.
The hospice now plans to bring the systems into common areas so family members and children will be able to communicate over HD video.
