NEC has launched the Tuner, which gives users DVB-T, IPTV and analogue signals via the option slot on a display, adding a wider range of content feed methods. This product in being aimed at digital signage, education and corporate in-house information and entertainment markets.
Having the Tuner integrated as an option slot means the user does not need any additional cables or external devices and can operate the tuner using the display’s remote control. Channels can also be changed via LAN through the built-in HTTP server which is helpful for central control of multiple screens.
