NEC Display Solutions has updated its MultiSync X461UN 46in LCD public display, and now features “Dark Edge Compensation”, known as “EdgeComp”, a function developed for more even brightness distribution and a more uniform overall image on videowall installations.
The new version also offers additional and improved network features, as well as a future-proof DisplayPort connection which allows higher bandwidths and longer cables.
EdgeComp is activated via the on-screen display (OSD) and generates a uniform overall picture without dark spots or shadows at the edges. It can be used as an optional feature and is useful for presenting light colour content, for instance a white background of a presentation.
The MultiSync X462UN also features extended network properties, such as SNMP support. The new version of the 46in monitor will also support the display of network information such as the IP and MAC address of individual components via the OSD.
The X462UN is now commercially available in black. It is supplied with a factory brightness calibration of 500 cd/m2, included in the overall package are a Dsub 15 cable, a power cable, and a CD-ROM with operating instructions. NEC Display Solutions Europe offers a three year guarantee for its displays including the backlight.
