Polar Audio has supplied products to the main contractor Martin Dawes, for a full av and videoconferencing suite in the Building Design Partnership (BDP) practice in Manchester.
The products supplied include beyerdynamic Revoluto conferencing system, Biamp audio processing and beyerdynamic wireless microphone systems.
Founded in 1961, the BDP now employs more than 1,000 architects, designers, engineers, sustainability experts, lighting designers and acoustics specialists in 17 studios across the world.
Martin Dawes project managed the job from inception, and the brief was to provide BDP with a full av and videoconferencing suite.
BDP required audio-enhancement for its flexible meeting space. The space, used for both internal and customer meetings can be divided in to one, two or three room configuration and required an adaptable and configurable microphone system for meetings and videoconferencing.
BDP also required the facility to display boardroom content on LCD screens in its reception area and wireless microphones systems for meetings and presentations.
Polar Audio supplied beyerdynamic MPR 210 Revoluto wireless conferencing microphones for the installation. In addition to the Revoluto system, Polar also supplied a Biamp Audia Flex mainframe for control, a Biamp Audio Logic Box to recall audio presets when the room configuration is changed, six beyerdynamic Opus 51 boundary microphones for video conferencing, and a beyerdynamic Opus 350 lapel Radio Microphone System for presentations and meetings.
Other equipment installed included an AMX touch-screen control system, Dynamax digital signage, Phillips LCD screens, Unicol projectors, Draper electric projection screens, KEF ceiling speakers and Samsung and Sony av equipment.
