The UK gala premiere of The Karate Kid used Sony Professional’s digital cinema 4K projection system. The 4K system has been installed at the Odeon Cinema in Leicester Square.
The Sony Digital Cinema 4K projection system used for the screening comprised of Sony Professional’s SRX-R320 digital cinema projector, LMT-300 Media Block and LSM-100 screen management system software.
In addition to the premiere, The Karate Kid will also be released to theatres worldwide as a 4K digital cinema package.
