Sharp is celebrating the premiere of its professional LCD display model, the PN-V601, designed for video walls and boasting an extremely thin bezel and a 60″ (152 cm) screen.
The appliance’s full-screen LED backlight ensures uniform light distribution. Sharp is showcasing the model at InfoComm on an LCD split wall with 3×3 screens using the new PN-V601 model series.
The nine-screen formation means that the displays achieve a total screen diagonal of 180″ (4.6 m). The narrow bezel is 6.5 millimetreswide, meaning the screen area is not broken up by large transitions.
The bezel-less monitors can be added to as desired and positioned in a horizontal or vertical configuration to form a single surface.
Grace Liang, commercial AV product manager at Sharp Electronics UK said: ‘Compared with the other significantly smaller LCD displays available from our competitors, the greater surface area of each of our new screens ensures there are fewer lines to break up the video wall effect. Proportional to the size of the split wall, therefore, the purchase price and power consumption costs of the appliances are also driven down.’
