Biamp’s Vocia training receives InfoComm CTS approval

InfoComm has approved Biamp’s Vocia certification training for Certified Technology Specialists (CTS) credential renewal credits. Vocia is a networked media system designed for facilities that vary in size and av needs such as university and hospital campuses and transportation facilities.

InfoComm requires a total of 30 renewal units (RUs) every three years to retain a CTS, CTS-D or CTS-I credential. By successfully completing Vocia Certification Training, av engineers will earn eight renewal units while learning how to design and implement Vocia advanced networked paging and voice evacuation systems.
 
Biamp Systems began offering Vocia Certification Training in October 2009 at the Beaverton, Oregon headquarters. Training consists of a two-day course offered on site in Beaverton in the company’s Learning Centre, and globally in Amsterdam, Mumbai and Bangkok. To date, more than 75 professionals have successfully completed the training program.
