It is based on an Intel Atom Dual Core D510 processor, which the firm suggests offers a lower-cost alternative to systems built on the Atom N270.
The graphics engine is an Intel GMA 3150. Connectivity options include wireless – via a PCI Express Mini card – as well as Ethernet and RS232.
The standard model provides VGA output, but a full HD unit with built-in decoder, the NDiS 122-A, is also available.
Nexcom is pitching the media player – on display at Screen Media Expo Europe in London on 5-6 May – as an entry-level device for digital signage in education, healthcare, hospitality and retail.
