Audinate joins AVnu Alliance

Digital media networking company Audinate has joined the AVnu Alliance as a promoter member. The AVnu Alliance is an industry organisation dedicated to the advancement of professional quality audio and video networking via the adoption of IEEE Audio/Video Bridging (AVB) standards.

AVB is a developing standard for media networking that employs elements such as IEEE 802.1as Clock Synchronisation, IEEE 802.1Qav quality of service, and 802.1Qat traffic shaping, to improve the transport performance of audio and video across standard Ethernet networks.

The AVnu Alliance waas created to promote and support the creation and implementation of compliance test procedures and processes that provide interoperability of AVB-enabled networked products for the professional av, automotive, and consumer electronics markets.

Audinate supplies a networking system called Dante to ease digital media networking. Dante provides digital media networking over Ethernet that meets quality and performance requirements of professional live sound, av installations and broadcast and recording systems.
