A statement released by Radvision said; ‘We have been highly impressed by the excellent work performed by Aethra over the years in developing its products.  Our plan is to embed  the Aethra team as an organic part of our existing organisation, as an additional R&D center specialising and leading our end point solution – a part of the Technologies Business Unit (TBU) .

‘The NBU will continue to be responsible for the Radvision Video solution and will manage the marketing and sales activities for the full E2E solution.

‘Management teams and relevant team leaders from both companies have been assigned to ensure a smooth and fruitful migration path. We plan to tightly integrate Aethra’s HD video endpoints and technology with Radvision’s video network infrastructure and desktop solutions to offer a full videoconferencing portfolio in response to customer demand created by rapid change and consolidation in the video marketplace. The addition of the Aethra technology assets enhances Radvision’s existing video network infrastructure and desktop solutions to provide a more complete solution to enterprise customers.

‘This is an ideal opportunity to extend our product portfolio and advance our technology leadership at a time of substantial industry realignment that is creating significant new opportunity.  Many of our customers and partners have urged us to provide them with an end-to-end video solution consistent with our network infrastructure.’
