World av turnover in 2009 reached E48.4bn, and the market will grow to E64.7bn by 2012, according to a study released by InfoComm International during the first day of ISE.
The report, The 2010 InfoComm Global AV Market Definition and Strategy Study, values the European market at E11.93bn. But it is not growing as fast as the Asia Pacific market, valued at E11.2bn.
The relatively mature European market is expected to grow at a compound annual rate of 9 per cent, while the Asia Pac market is expected to grow at a CAGR of 13 per cent. The North American market now makes up 45 per cent of world a-v turnover.
The top product growth areas reported by the study include flat panel displays, conferencing systems, web streaming and wireless applications. The fastest growing customer segments are education, government, corporate and hospitality.
The study can be bought either in its entirety or by regional segment.
