Barco has been awarded Frost & Sullivan’s 2009 Company of the Year Award for Growth Excellence in recognition of the company’s growth in Greater China.
The award was presented in conjunction with Frost & Sullivan GIL 2009: China, and was received by Frank Christiaens, president of Barco for Greater China, at Frost & Sullivan’s 2009 Growth Excellence Awards Banquet, held Wednesday 28 October at Shanghai’s St. Regis Hotel.
Barco opened its first office in China in 1995. Its products were deployed at the Shanghai F1 race track in 2004, the 2005 Hong Kong International Film Festival and 5 consecutive CCTV Spring Festival Shows.
“Our experience in China has been nothing short of outstanding,” says Christiaens. “From growing in our existing industry market sectors, to exploring “white space” opportunities, to giving back to China, we are moving fast-forward in the right direction in this market with major growth potential for Barco.”
