Polycom ranked as global leader for video conferencing

Video conferencing market analysts Wainhouse Research has ranked Polycom as the global leader for total installed group systems as of July 2009. Polycom’s market share for total installed group system’s was 41 per cent.
It was also named as the leading supplier of global video conferencing systems shipped during first half 2009, with 35 per cent market share.
‘Organisations are realising that videoconferencing and telepresence solutions address many key business challenges such as reducing costs, increasing employee efficiency and improving collaboration,’ said Polycom senior vice president Joe Sigrist.
