Director of Maverick Europe, Jon Sidwick, writing exclusively for AV in his latest blog, has urged the need for AV technicians to be vigilant in renewing their InfoComm CTS accreditation, or risk losing it all together.

‘Firstly for those of you who are well educated CTS qualified people who have made the effort to ensure they regularly add to their renewal units then ignore the next few words. For the ones like me then please be aware that CTS renewal comes along very quickly and the requirement for 30 RU’s is not easy to achieve.’
Luckily for me I felt the need a while ago to investigate the combination of networking and traditional AV plus how this worked in AV Design, at that point I felt the best way learn was to take the two applicable InFocomm courses which led to 45 RU’s…f I had not gained 30 points I would have had to start all over again, something which is a lot tougher now due to the test environment.
