Christie, the world leader in digital cinema projection, once again lends the full weight of its support to IBC 2009, the leading international forum for the electronic media industry. 2009 sees Christie continue in its role as official D-Cinema technology partner for the IBC D-Cinema conference programme. Christie can also be found in Hall 11, on Stand F61.

As D-Cinema technology partner for the fifth year running, Christie has provided the state-of-the-art digital cinema technology behind the ‘Big Screen Experience’- a CP2000XB 2K DLP® cinema projector. Christie CP2000 series projectors are the product of choice for theatre operators, demonstrated by a commanding 70 per cent worldwide market share – which boasts more than 7,500 active installations worldwide.

The Big Screen is central to the conference’s D-Cinema and 3D presentation programme enabling the latest advances in stereoscopic 3D animation and projection to be demonstrated. Saturday night’s (12th September) entertainment showcases 3D blockbuster, Dreamworks’ ‘Monsters Vs Aliens’ and for the finale to the conference programme, on 14th September, a 3D screening of 20th Century Fox’s ‘Ice Age 3′.
