Videonations wins Notts Uni contract

Videonations has won a three year framework to provide and install videoconferencing equipment to The University of Nottingham. The University has multiple campuses based across Nottingham and two international campuses in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia and Ningbo, China.

Each of the University’s five faculties is comprised of a number of schools, departments and divisions or institutes.

Adam Feakins, business development manager within the education team at Videonations commented, ‘Since winning the tender for Nottingham University in June, we’ve installed high definition videoconferencing solutions from LifeSize into five different schools including the Business School, School of Economics, Developmental Psychiatry and the Centre for Research Communications and Professional Development, formerly SEDU.’

Most recently, the School of Mathematical Sciences has ordered a videoconferencing system specifically for its Midlands Energy Graduate School Project. The School, which has been formed to teach and supervise Post Graduates across three Universities, will use the videoconferencing equipment to deliver seminar and tutorial sessions between the various campuses at Nottingham, Birmingham and Loughborough Universities. At the Nottingham campus the videoconferencing system comprises a mix of fixed and portable videoconferencing facilities that include the ability to share desktop presentations.
