Berlin’s famous Potsdamer Platz was the backdrop for the German premiere of Transformers – Revenge of the Fallen, to which Paramount Pictures Germany invited more than 1,000 guests to the CineStar cinemas.
Also present were the two main actors, Hollywood’s shooting stars Shia LaBeouf (Sam Witwicky) and Megan Fox (Mikaela Banes), as well as the director, Michael Bay. Michael Bay, who is famous for his impressive action blockbusters, is known in movie circles as a critical observer and was, according to Paramount Pictures Germany, also the one who specifically requested a digital showing.
The team around the general manager of Paramount Pictures Germany, Sven Sturm, did everything they could to achieve a perfect premiere. And for that to happen, quite a lot had to mesh perfectly on this evening. Three movie theatres had to be digitally equipped: the sold-out, large premiere Cinema 8 with more than 800 seats, Cinema 2 already had a digital Christie projector and then Cinema 3, which was specially fitted for the premiere with a digital projector.
