What does it do?
The HDX 6000 delivers 720p HD video (1280×720) at 30fps starting at 832 Kbps, and DVD-quality video (704×576) at 30fps starting at 256 Kbps. The experience is enhanced through HD stereo audio quality that permits two-way conversations with Polycom’s 22 kHz HD Voice in StereoSurround, and the ability for users to share work in HD, including movies, spreadsheets, presentations, images, or physical items like barcodes, envelopes, and products through a variety of peripherals.
Crucially the plug-and-play system uses a patented Lost Packet Recovery (LPR) algorithm that helps ensure a high quality user experience even on networks prone to IP packet loss and congestion.
Polycom’s EagleEye camera has a powerful 12x optical zoom with a sharp and clear focus maximising performance for all applications. Manage, schedule, and provision the Polycom HDX 6000 series with the Polycom Converged Management Application (CMA) which allows for one-click dialling to other endpoints – from desktop video applications to immersive telepresence rooms.
Quite simply the HDX 6000 delivers the ultimate in HD voice, HD video, and HD content for exceptional performance.

Who’s using it?
Starting or expanding a High Definition video network has never been easier or more affordable. The HDX 6000 is for anyone unable to operate on a completely clear IP video network – which is a luxury for all but the biggest budgets – the HDX 6000 with its LPR feature is the key. There’s no point investing in an HD VC product if you experience even 1-2% packet loss. With the HDX 6000 Polycom addresses the mid-range buyer and delivers best of breed technology with superior visual experience.
The product, which is the first to support HDMI output enabling the optional use of a more cost-effective display, comes with codec box, camera, mic and remote control but to be fully configured Imago will package displays, furniture or bracketry along with the network and service bundle.
From improving collaboration to significantly reducing operating costs, Polycom telepresence solutions offer best value for all applications.
