The models range from the MP624 for presentations and the MP724, designed to deliver large scale images for bigger meeting rooms, through to the MP727, which can be used in virtually any environment and the SP870 which presents the brightest picture even if the room is illuminated.

The initial approach to the channel will be carried out during the summer and will be followed in the autumn by the launch of a range of BenQ projectors.

‘BenQ has its sights very firmly fixed on the corporate sector with these mid and higher-end products, and with the new models that will be introduced in September,’ said James Vickerage, head of marketing, at Imago Group. ‘Our initial priority is to work with our resellers to establish a new BenQ accredition scheme, the Q Club, which will enable us to deliver higher margins and rebates to authorised resellers. We will also be proactively looking for a broad base of additional resellers who can profit by adding BenQ into their product offer.’

Royce Lye, UK product and marketing manager at BenQ, said: ‘Our immediate focus for Q3 is for us to support Imago with the right fit of products and skilled training to enable more and more a-v resellers to understand the benefits of promoting & selling BenQ projectors. Q4 is going to be a ground-breaking time for BenQ with over nine models launching into the business projection sector, with affordable functionality including LAN control, short throw at every level, pocket sized projectors, and even the emergence of 3D projection. Our core solution message for 2009 is to start thinking projection and not just projectors.’
