Smart opens new HQ

Smart has officially opened its new headquarters and research centre in Calgary, Canada. It has been built to cope with the growing size of the business and houses the company’s 750 employees.
The 19,602m2 building cost more than CDN$60 million (US$51m/£34m) and features 90 meeting and collaboration rooms holding 2-150 people at a time.
Smart has added more than 100 employees in Calgary, with a further 100 in other offices in North America in 2009 aready.
The company holds a 53.2 per cent worldwide market share of the interactive whiteboard market.
