All NEC NP series projectors will now include the ability to download Vioso smartprojecting software at a reduced rate. The software uses geometric equalisation to allow projection onto uneven or sloping surfaces.
The full version of the software is the “smartprojecting warp” option. Here, comprehensive and full geometric equalisation can be achieved, i.e. unrestricted cubic and linear warping on the basis of up to 100 points.
In addition, projection surface adaptations in this version can also be carried out with pixel accuracy from the keyboard. Even arched and spherical surfaces as well as stepped surfaces can now be used for projections.
Projectors in the NEC NP series are available with three different software download options: smartprojecting basic (£71.00 instead of £91.00), smartprojecting standard (£117.00 instead of £148.00) and smartprojecting warp (£210 instead of £239.00). All software packages are also available either on CD (including DVD box and quick set-up guide) or USB stick. The latter possibility allows the software to be used on several PCs (not in parallel) but without installation or administrator rights.
