Sharp commits to a-v channel

Sharp has moved its commerical a-v business away from the IT channel to specialist a-v distributors. Midwich will be among the major beneficiaries of this decision, and they will now sell an increased range of Sharp flat screen displays.

Sharp has also deciding to use Midwich subsidiaries True Colours Distribution to address the digital signage and a-v integration markets, and Owl Visual Systems to concentrate on the leisure a-v channel. 

In doing so Sharp has joined Sony and LG in moving away from IT broadline distribution to appoint Midwich as their primary distribution partner.
