Singapore has marked its 43rd birthday celebrations with the annual National Day Parade held on 9 August 2008 at the Marina Bay Floating Platform.  The T-20 outdoor LED display from Barco was used for the very first time by the official LED supplier for the event.

The Show Company was the official LED display & multimedia control systems vendor for The 2008 National Day Celebrations and was appointed the task of providing everything to run the visual aspects of the show.

The T-20 system was installed on site and subjected to operational tests for 2 months prior to the show, and had to perform in 8 weeks of field testing with daytime temperatures exceeding 30 degrees Celsius, as well as weekly torrential rain storms and strong winds.
The Show Company’s 192 module T-20 System measures 15.4m wide and 11.5m high, and it’s the largest single daylight LED display screen ever built for the National Day Parade celebrations in 43 years, or indeed ever constructed in Singapore.
