3M has launched a WXGA projector with short throw projection technology for the corporate and education sectors. The Super Close Projection System SCP740 features DLP and BrilliantColor technology with brightness of 2,600 lumens, 1600:1 contrast ratio and an image size range from 50-98in diagonal.
The SCP740 can project larger images from shorter distances (60in projection from 35in and 100in projection from 58.4in), which minimises shadowing and light in the presenter’s eyes. It has a native 16:10 aspect ratio (HDTV programming or most DVDs) and supports both 4:3 and 16:9 aspect ratios.
Connectivity includes two RGB inputs, one RGB output, RJ-45 ethernet connection, RS232 connection, +5V/2A DC power output, S-video input, DVI-D connection, RCA Audio/Video, USB port and audio output connection.
Additional SCP740 system specifications include an integrated wind tunnel for fan noise reduction. The desktop projector comes with a remote control, and weighs 4.5kg, and measures 14×12.2x5in. It can also be mounted to a wall or ceiling using optional accessories.
