Epson has launched four lightweight portable projectors designed to promote fast, stress-free presentations. The Epson ultra mobile series succeeds the EMP-1700 series, and provides improved versatility, functionality and usability.
All of the projectors in the range weigh 1.8kg or less, and come a newly designed carry-case. Quick set-up is ensured through a ‘direct power on’ feature, a six second start-up time, Auto-keystone correction and a 3-in-1 USB connection. The 3-in-1 USB display function combines image, sound and control functions through just one cable, reducing unsightly wires.
Other features designed to reduce the stress involved in setting up a presentation include a repositioned front exhaust, which means hot air is not directed back towards the audience but discreetly forwards towards the screen. A short throw lens also enables a large screen size to be created from a short distance.
The EB-1730W and EB-1735W models offer WXGA resolution widescreen capability, providing 30 per cent extra screen space compared to XGA resolution and matching the screen dimensions of most modern laptops. The high-end EB-1725 and the EB-1735W incorporate Epson‘s EasyMP technology, which allows multi-screen display functionality, enabling up to four projectors to be connected wirelessly to present from just one computer, thus creating larger, panoramic or split-screen displays.
Wireless connectivity has also been enhanced with the ‘Quick Wireless Connection’ feature, which enables users to gain a wireless connection in seconds by simply plugging the USB wireless device included with the projector into a PC.
