Philips & PPC in 3D WOW launch

The Picture Production Company Group (PPC) has announced it is working with Philips to supply media content for their 3D WOWvx displays.
PPC will convert 2D content such as TV adverts and trailers into 3D using the Philips BlueBox and the Philips 3D format called 2D-plus-Depth.
The BlueBox is a 3D content creation suite that enables conversion of any 2D video content to the 2D-plus-Depth format used in the WOWvx 3D displays.
The 3D WOWvx displays use lenticular lens technology which allows multiple users to view 3D content at the same time, without 3D glasses.
It can also be used as a high quality screen for standard 2D content.
