Computer 2000 Buys Maverick

Maverick Presentation Products has been bought by Computer 2000.

The broadline IT distributor has bought the a-v distribution operation from the administrators after Mavericks owners failed to agree a Corporate Voluntary Agreement (CVA) with the businesss creditors.

AV has learnt that the sale went through late on the evening of November 12. It includes Maverick Presentation Products subsidiary businesses Hotlamps, Screen Expert, Vision and Convergent.

Maverick will be the main trading business and it will be based at Computer 2000s premises in Basingstoke, AV was told. A ‘large number’ of Maverick employees are expected to move to the new operation.
